Showcase 

We are proud to host two fully produced Showcases during the workshop and look forward to celebrating each other's work. In respect to our production team and our limited time together, we ask that each group submit only one piece to perform at YDW. 

Showcase- General Information

  • Two equal and fully produced Showcases will be presented at YDW

  • Showcases take place Friday and Saturday night at 8pm in the SF Fine Arts Hall. 

  • Each group may submit one piece, no longer than 6 minutes in length.

  • All pieces will receive 8 technical cues. (This does not include blackout and bow light)

  • Please have a prepared bow.

  • Technical rehearsals will be held on either Friday or Saturday afternoon between 1pm-6pm. 

  • Videos and Music files must be submitted to tech.theatre@sfcollege.edu by October 10th in order to be considered.

  • A professional videographer will be on-site to record performances. Showcase videos will be available for purchase after the workshop. 

  • A $100 Performance Fee will be added to your final total during registration.

 

Showcase- Requirements

(1)  Video File

A video of your entire piece should be submitted by 10/13 to provide our lighting designer and technical crew an idea of technical needs and lighting. Rehearsal videos with or without costumes are fine. Video files or YouTube/ Vimeo links can be sent to tech.theatre@sfcollege.edu. We also accept files via Dropbox, or WeTransfer.

 

(2)  Music File

Your fully edited music file should be sent by 10/13. Music files can be sent to  tech.theatre@sfcollege.edu. We also accept files via Dropbox, or WeTransfer. Please bring a CD or jump drive back up with you to your technical rehearsal. We cannot transfer files from any personal electronic device.

 

(3)  Program Information & Technical Questionnaire

You will be asked to complete program information at the time of registration. Please have all this information ready when completing the online registration form. Showcase information must be submitted no later than October 13th.
